CBAP Summer 2020

Hi Everyone!

It is with a heavy heart, we write to inform you that the Community Based Activity Program has been cancelled for Summer 2020. In light of the continued uncertainties caused by the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and in the interest of safety for all campers, staff, and volunteers, we have made this difficult decision. Please know this decision was made after thorough deliberation and was based on the current national and state-wide restrictions.

This will be the first summer in 30 years that we won't see buses out and about with "CBAPers", as they wave us down for car washes and lemonade stands or load up for zoo trips, beach trips and rafting trips. More importantly, this will be the first summer in 30 years that you won’t get to see Brad in his Hawaiian shirts all summer! :)

It is our full intention to resume Summer 2021 and we look forward to gathering together in good health. Please do your best during this difficult time to take care of yourself and your families.

We will miss you!

Beth and the entire CBAP Team!

The Community Based Activity Program (CBAP) provides inclusive educational and recreational services to students with and without disabilities. The program has grown from 16 participants at its inception in 1990, to over 160 participants this past year. Truly a community organization, it was formed by a group of parents and teachers to address the need for a summer program for children with disabilities. Since that time, the Community Based Activity Program has expanded to include Adventures Without Limits (AWL) and the Social and Recreational Companion (SRC) Program.
